GenerousChurch

Our leadership team

GenerousChurch is led by a team of passionate generosity evangelists who are working to unleash generous disciples throughout today's Christian churches. These are their bios:

Patrick Johnson,
President and Chief Architect

Patrick has been working with church leaders for over a decade. In 2003, he developed the church strategy at Generous Giving – helping churches spread the transformational message of generosity. Patrick helped develop the Exponential Pastors Conference on generosity at North Point Church in Alpharetta, GA, and Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. He also created the Generous Church Toolkit from the best-selling book, The Treasure Principle, and worked with Leadership Network to form Generous Church Leadership Communities. From 2007-2010, Patrick oversaw the church strategy for The National Christian Foundation.

Currently, Patrick directs the vision of GenerousChurch and lives in Olathe, KS with his wife, Jennifer, and their children.

Sharon Epps   Sharon Epps,
Executive Vice President and Chief Strategist

Sharon is a Christ-following, fun-loving, strategist, communicator and leader.  She brings order to the systems of GenerousChurch by simplifying complex issues into clear action steps.  A former corporate banker, church stewardship pastor and non-profit executive, Sharon speaks and writes with a mission to help people discover God’s purpose for their life and to use their money to accomplish it.  She’s personally counseled hundreds of individuals and families and co-hosted Crown Financial Ministries’ MoneyLife radio program.

Sharon is married to Joel.  They have 4 kids and 4 grandkids. They live and worship in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Cindy Cheeks

Cindy Cheeks,
Administration and Client Services

For thirteen years, Cindy was the managing partner of the Cheeks’ household, i.e. stay-at-home mom and home-school teacher.  Soon after Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, she joined a grass roots relief effort, eventually becoming Executive Director and spearheading efforts for the next two years. Cindy has since worked with several non-profits in various capacities, helping structure their operations for maximum impact.  In service to the clients and team of GenerousChurch, she mobilizes her passion to see churches and individuals utilize their resources to positively impact communities for the Kingdom.

Cindy is living her “Happily Ever After” with husband Keith in Rankin County, MS.  She enjoys time with their 4 grown kids, traveling, and supporting the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Combining an entrepreneurial spirit with a missional focus, Todd DeKruyter guides families and churches toward a life generously surrendered to Jesus. At GenerousChurch Todd leads churches through our Generosity Pathway. Catherine has been part of GenerousChurch as Lead Intercessor since 2016, praying for the team and clients daily.  Four years ago she felt the LORD calling her to leave her job in the market to partner with presidents of companies and ministries in the role of personal and corporate intercessor. When she is not traveling for generosity, mentoring or prayer opportunities, Catherine touches the world through intercession from Wichita, Kansas where she lives and worships.

Lee is retired after a 40-year career in the oil & gas industry that enabled him to live in nine countries and travel to 70. He serves as a director or volunteer for several small ministries, and especially enjoys facilitating Journey of Generosity retreats in the Russian-speaking world for local supporters of ‘discipleship in and through sports'.
